![]() Greetings Y'all! It's been a bit since I've posted (or updated my site, yeowsa it was really overdue for an overhaul!) So I figured I'd take a minute to bring you all up to speed. I've been so lucky and fortunate to spend the last 5 years in Austin, Texas: tattooing there has been incredible, the clients and people I've met have been so wonderful, and I truly feel blessed to have lived in such a carefree, magical place, working at a great shop with great people and making some truly fun and amazing artwork. But it's time for a new chapter and a new adventure - I'm going to be a mom! For my husband and I (and our daughter) this meant a move to be closer to family, for at least a while, just felt right. We've moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and will be settling in here for the foreseeable future. I still plan on doing guest spots in Austin, and on the east coast in CT and possibly even NYC when time allows, but those travel plans won't be happening for almost a year at the earliest. I'm on maternity leave until the new year, but plans are in the works to (hopefully!) open my own (all-vegan!) shop here once the new year kicks off! In the meantime, I'll be focusing on some really exciting work: I'm building an online art shop that will have some really cool items available for purchase: T-shirts, prints, totes, and some other fun items for you to check out! A percentage of all sales will be donated monthly to animal rescue efforts - I'm hoping to find a different awesome rescue to donate to each month, so if any of you have some suggestions for me to check out, please feel free to pass them along! This is an exciting new chapter and I can't wait to see what the future has in store <3 All the best! -A :)

XO! -A! ![]() Recently it's come to light that the tattoo stencil paper available on the market today is not vegan (it contains lanolin). There's been a lot of discussion about this: some folks feel that being concerned about what's in the paper used in the process is splitting hairs, and that's fine well and good, but that's not how I feel; I'm dedicated to making all aspects of my life cruelty-free where it's in my power to do so, and my profession is no exception. It's not about a marketing ploy; it's about what I think is the right thing to do. It doesn't really matter to me if you as clients care if your tattoo or the process that creates it is vegan; I care. That's why I've done so much research and worked so hard to come up with a vegan alternative stencil paper for those of you that are interested. And by making it available to you, the clients, it opens up the option for you to go to any artist who's work you like, so you aren't just limited to shops or artists claiming to offer vegan tattoos that may not offer the style or caliber of artwork you're interested in, which is, ultimately, what's most important when considering a tattoo. And ultimately, any professional tattoo artist that really cares about tattooing wants you to get the artwork you're interested in getting, whether or not it's from them. Being vegan shouldn't narrow that option for you, and now it doesn't have to, which I think is great news :) These sheets will be sold individually through my Etsy store; they are hand-trace only (cannot be put through a thermofax machine), and are reusable until there is no more ink left on the paper, meaning you can get a number of tattoo stencils out of each sheet. Quantities are limited as I am only able to make this available in small batches at the moment, but feel free to order as many as you like at one time. I'll be shipping them in weather-resistant packaging that is recommended for long term storage in a safe, dry place so as to protect the integrity and reuseability of your sheet. Hope some of you find these useful and helpful! <3! -A

I'm back safe and sound after a crazy two weeks of travel, and I have to say it was a blast getting to see so many of your familiar faces out in NYC and getting to work on so many cool ideas. I feel very lucky to have such awesome clients who allow me so much artistic freedom, on opposite sides of the country even! Can't wait to see you all again, thanks so much for everything East Coasters! In other exciting news, I also had the honor of being asked to design some super cool merch for Rabbit Food Grocery! It's a kick-ass, all-vegan online grocery store, with headquarters right here in Austin! If you live in Austin or nearby, keep an eye out for their pop-up shop, where you can buy a boat load of amazing vegan goodies in person! If you live on the opposite side of the country, no worries! You can still order vegan noms via their online store. Be sure to pick up a t-shirt or a tote bag while you're at it and spread the vegan love! <3 Stay Awesome Kids! -A! |
