I recently had the pleasure of being interviewed by the lovely folks at Hands and Tails, a Canadian talk show about art, animals, and a bunch of other interesting stuff. The hosts were great, and they definitely let me spread some knowledge about veganism and tattooing, which i am always more than happy to do! And you can also hear my roommate's super cute dog Ibby barking his two cents in the background, ha ;)
You can check out the hour-long show in its entirety here (http://cfru.ca/recordings/108) - the original air date is 2/15/13, and the segment with my interview starts about 37 minutes into the program. Be sure to check out the whole program, as well as some of the other interesting topics in their archives at http://handsandtails.com/!
Light, Love, and Vegan Tattoos! <3
If you're in Austin this weekend, you should check out the Star of Texas Tattoo Art Revival. It's a 3 day tattoo convention featuring art and artists from around the world, hosted in the friendliest city on the face of the planet (eyep, this just in, Austin is the friendliest place, um, ever!). Yours truly will be headed there on Sunday (sorry folks, I work Friday and Saturday, but feel free to come visit me at the shop!) to check out all the fantastic and amazing technical capability housed under one roof at one time. Don't forget to show some love to my coworkers at the Atomic Tattoo Booth! They're sure to be working on something amazing :)
Light and Love!
December 18th is internationally known as a Day of Solidarity. This time around, it will be a day to stand in solidarity with animals who, at the hands of industry and agriculture, suffer in voiceless silence.
I will be offering the "269" tattoo by appointment on December 18th - this event will be taking place all over the globe, so if you don't live in Austin, find a vegan tattoo shop or artist near you that can help you out.
To find out more about the 269 movement, check out this informative page, or to see footage of the branding that started a movement, go here.
Go Vegan, Stay Vegan.

I have some great news y'all! I've settled in here in LOVELY Austin, Texas! Nothing but friendly, genuine people, beautiful scenery, and (of course!) GREAT vegan food! And the best news is that I'm now booking appointments at Atomic Tattoo! It's a gorgeous shop with talented, friendly artists and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You can check out their awesome website here. Send me an email and get in touch if you'd like to book something, or feel free to stop in and check out the shop! Austin, I can't wait to color you in! <3
Oh and don't worry northeast, I'll be back for you soon ;)
Light and love! xoxo!
I've officially bid New York a fond farewell - the city was not a good fit for me, but all of you clients certainly helped to make life a little grander while i was there. Much thanks to all of you, and not to worry, I will be in NYC area again for guest spots at some point in the not-too-distant future :) In the meantime, I'll be doing some traveling, so stay tuned for guest spots! If you're interested in having me come to your area for a tattoo, let me know, I can certainly squeeze in a pit stop for some unexpected and fun projects :)
All the best til next time!
I FINALLY got around to posting my flash set for Friday the 13th! It's been SUPER hectic at our shop (can't complain about being busy with fun tattoos!), but I do enjoy making and tattooing pieces from these themed flash sets - plus who doesn't like a little something just for the fun of it every once in a while? My fellow shopmate (and also a vegan artist!) Clinton Sawicz will have a flash set too, so feel free to come by the shop and check 'em out! First come first served and limited quantities available, so be sure to get their early or to email me for an appointment!
Here's a preview of the flash tattoos I'll be offering as a tribute - or a middle finger? - to Valentine's Day, depending upon which side of the flash sheet you choose from. I'll be offering these selections by appointment only, all next week. Each piece is $50 each. Email me if you're interested in setting something up!
I have a couple of exciting things brewing!
First, this coming week (the week of 12/18/2011), anyone who gets a tattoo will have their entire tip donated to Empty Cages Collective, an animal rescue in Brooklyn that goes above and beyond to rescue animals in need and to help find them safe, loving homes. I still have a couple of slots available, so if you're interested get in touch with me and we'll set something up.
Second, I am offering this piece of flash at shop minimum to every/anyone who wants it. The final design actually has a heart at the end of the hilt, as this symbolizes love triumphing over evil. I originally drew it in support of Occupy Wall Street, which I've been involved in where and when I can be since the beginning of it here in NYC. I encourage any and everyone to get this tattoo in solidarity, or to post this image up wherever you see fit. I'll post the modified image with the heart on the hilt, as i think that more accurately depicts the message, as soon as i can.
